ワッショイ ワッショイ
Slick Remix ワッショイ

Here we have a short but sweet techstep/DnB remix of ”Dear You" from Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, or ”When they Cry。” Quite an odd anime, switching from mo~e to horror at the drop of a hat. This is a pretty good remix of the tune, my only wish is that it were a couple minutes longer。 Thanks for the submission DJGenericName, hope to get some more material from you soon! Sorry we were so late in posting this. ごめんm(_ _)m

Endless Expanse of Field and Sky 2010-01-04 Remix: Endless Expanse of Field and Sky
Anime: The Vision of Escaflowne (TV)
Artist(s): Melody
Review:

This remix is professionally made, I love the violin work.  This is our first Escaflowne remix to make it to Anime Remix, and what a treat!  This somehow reminds me of the Chrono Cross Soundtrack.  This fanciful piece takes you across the world that Escaflowne so artistically assembled.  This is a must download for those who liked Escaflowne and like music.

Arabian Nights 2009-12-30 Remix: Arabian Nights
Anime: Aladdin
Artist(s): Xaleph
Review:

I tried to showcase one of the bass/synths in this song, especially since I really liked Aladdin.  I was originally going to work with this guy who I found that did some good guitar work on this song - but he never ended up sending me anything.  Nonetheless I think I put together an alright piece.  The ending was rushed, I do intend on putting up an update once I finish it.

This is the 100th song on Anime Remix - I'm pretty hyped about it ^_^!

Tomboy Brawl 2009-08-11 Remix: Tomboy Brawl
Anime: Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki (OAV)
Artist(s): Big Giant Circles
Review:

What an absolutely marvelous song from Tenchi Muyo!!  Big Giant Circles has composed a splendid piece from the classic anime - one that many otaku still love.  From the guitar work to the composition, this song has the same clarity and professional feel much like the majority of the songs he's composed http://www.biggiantcircles.com/ .   My only gripe is the length of the piece - 2:26 isn't particularly short, but I find myself disappointed when the song ends.  I highly recommend this download and I'm sure you'll enjoy this as much as I have.

talent for modulation 2009-06-29 Remix: talent for modulation
Anime: Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki (OAV)
Artist(s): coda
Review:

Coda submits another chiptune song found from the anime 'Tenchi Muyo!'.  It's a catchy well done chiptune that OverCoat and I both liked.

I remember watching Tenchi back in High School in our Anime Club.  This song definitely brings back memories of that lucky guy being chased by all sorts of women.  I never did end up finishing the series but I did find it enjoyable nonetheless.

Enough of my rambling, download and enjoy the new piece from Coda

Put Out Your Misery 2009-03-02 Remix: Put Out Your Misery
Anime: Black Lagoon (TV)
Artist(s): DistantJ
Review:

DistantJ put together a very professional mix from the anime "Black Lagoon" featuring a bit of a harder/edgier style than what we usually hear from DistantJ.  I'm not sure if we'll continue to hear this style from DistantJ but I do know that I like it.  My wife put her two cents in - telling me it sounds a lot like the korean artist Lee Hyun Jung also known as the "Goddess of Techno". (sample: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHSdRbY9_mA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HABJn0z9Zv4 and http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/NZX8HuI5CWw/). Not sure if I agree, but definitely an interesting comparison.  Anyways enjoy this mix, watch the anime, and remember to review what you thought of this mix!

Nothing Can Be Explained 2009-01-09 Remix: Nothing Can Be Explained
Anime: Bleach (TV)
Artist(s): Lira Yin, Xaleph
Review:

This song has an interesting story that resulted in one of my better pieces.  For the Halloween Competition, I was trying to figure out how to go about presenting something fun and exciting to the site with prospects of winning the competition.  I decided to contact a live singer for this project.  A while back, I had talked with this vocalist about possibly doing a song in the future.  The time I decided to ask her was two days before the competition.  She recorded the next morning and sent me the clips to use before noon the next morning.  I then worked my butt off to finish the song and submit it.  Since the original song was submitted, I've worked on re-touching up several parts to this mix.  Lira did a great job with the lyrics, I hope you enjoy this song as much as I still do.

I Am L 2008-08-31 Remix: I Am L
Anime: Death Note (TV)
Artist(s): Eshmasesh
Review:

I thought this song was particularly well done, the way that Esh uses the different glitch/fsu effects sounds a lot like the way that Infected Mushroom does their work. It's another Death Note song, it's short, and it's very enjoyable. Today is the day that my baby girl is going to be born ^^ a great day to release a song.

Misa No Uta (blackaurora mix) 2008-06-26 Remix: Misa No Uta (blackaurora mix)
Anime: Death Note (TV)
Artist(s): Surasshu
Review:

Anime Music Video created off of this remix:

This song caught my ear immediately when I was watching the show, and I thought about remixing it for a long time but couldn't think of a way to make it work, since it was a waltz, and those are really hard to remix. But in the end I figured it out, and I think it turned out pretty cool. :) The style is inspired by an amazing electronic guy called darkhalo ( http://www.signalburst.org/josh/ ). Specifically his song Alloy was an incredible influence on this, so check his stuff out if you like it--his is way better.

-Surasshu

If you remember the first song I submitted to ocremix was industrial, several of my bands in highschool were either industrial or industrial rock.  I listened to so much of this stuff that even now I find it easy to just pick up some songs and remix industrial.  With that said, Misa No Uta (blackaurora mix) is a song I can definitely appreciate - it's very creative, deep and dark.  I'm really excited to have another industrial song on the site, and Surasshu did an excellent mix of Misa No Uta.  Poor Misa ><.

The drums are pretty crisp and if you listen to some of the effects Surasshu throws in near the end, he uses a nice glitch/granular effects.  I hope to hear more from Surasshu in the future.

For more information on the AMV feel free to check check it out on YouTube.

Dual Hearts 2008-04-06 Remix: Dual Hearts
Anime: Madlax (TV)
Artist(s): Avaris
Review:

Every time I listen to a finished song from Avaris, I'm always thinking that this guy is incredibly mellow.  This song takes my crazy stressed out life and turns it into 4 minutes of pure bliss.  This is his first submission using Reason 4.0 - the quality is amazing, and it sounds that his sound engineering skills have become better as well resulting in a phenomenal piece.  For those that haven't seen Madlax, I would recommend you see at least one episode from Madlax or Noir (or at least listen to the soundtracks if you're into ear candy like myself).

Anime News Network Summarized:

In the country of Gazth-Sonika, civil war rages. There, a mercenary called Madlax plies her trade, with almost supernatural skill. In the seemingly peaceful country of Nafrece, Margaret Burton lives a tranquil life. As separate as their lives may seem, the two are connected by ties of mystery, and by a holy book that is also sought by the shadowy organisation, Anfan. As Margaret and Madlax follow the path of their destiny, they come ever closer to uncovering the truth - with no guarantee that it is a truth they can bear to learn.

Listen to the music and relax!
